Andoni Showcases Cultural Heritage,Call On Investors To Harness Tourism Potentials

 Culture has been identified as an avenue to unite people irrespective of religious beliefs.


It is on this backdrop that the people of Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State gathered in their numbers to celebrate their cultural heritage after a long period of time as a result of insecurity in the community.


They also seized the opportunity to call on investors to harness the natural resources embedded in the area.


The boat regatta organized by the council authority took place at New road Asarama and was well attended by people from all walks of life who came to be entertained and felt the serenity of the area.


Entertainers from the local government took the stage to preform before the display of the various wards boat regatta came on the sea shore to entertain the people.


Speaking at the occasion, Member Federal House of Representatives, Mr Awaji-inombek Abiante who lauded efforts of the council boss for the initiative stated that over the years the people could not gather to celebrate cultural heritage as a result of the insecurity that plagued the area for years.



Mr. Abiante reassured the chairman of his unflinching support for the development of the area which will become the envy of other local government areas of the state.


On his part, chairman of the council Mr Erastus Awortu said the event revealed the  passion of the people,their willingness for peace and the crave for development of the area.


The chairman explained that the environment is endowed with natural resources surrounded by aquatic lives hence the need for investors to look the way of the local government.


Mr. Awortu added that memo had been written to the state, National and foreign bodies to attract their attention to the tourism potentials of the area.


 Some participants at the event Mr Clement Ineme and Counselor representing ward one Ngo Mr. John Bibor who could not hide their joy expressed optimism that in years to come Andoni will be the center of attraction.


Also speaking Owajionyi John and Mrs Rossanah Otikor describe the initiative as a welcome development .

They prayed that the unity and peace enjoyed  be sustained for rapid development of the area.

We will Not Enslave Anyone - King Nnabiget XV

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive.
