Federal Government Debunk Fake News Making Round On December Salary

Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation has debunked News making round advising civil servants to exercise caution in spending their November salary because of possible delay in the payment of their December salary.

In a release by the Director Communications AbdulGaniyu Aminu said the fake news has been published in some newspapers and some social media platforms without verification.

Mr Aminu stated that for the avoidance of doubt, the office at no time issued any circular in respect of salary.

According to the statement, Nigerian Civil Servants and the general public were advised to disregard the contents of the fake circular as the work of mischief makers.

Furthermore, the said signatory to the circular, one Dr. S.A. Adegoke was not a staff of the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation as there is no record of such an officer in the office.

He added that those behind the so-called circular are out to cause mischief by spreading false information for reasons best known to them.

Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
