Four Persons Feared Dead In Ghastly Motor Accident In Rivers

Four persons have reportedly lost their lives in a ghastly motor accident on Rukpokwu - Igwuruta road in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Eyewitness at the scene of the accident said an eight month old baby was one of the four occupants in a Highlander Sport Utility Vehicle ,SUV; that went up in flames.

A driver of a Mini commercial bus explained that the driver of the SUV was trying to avoid hitting another vehicle when he suddenly skied into the median of the road that caused a chain crash.

The driver who spoke on the condition of anonymity said the car and the occupants burnt before help came.

Public Relations Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps,FRSC;Julian Eni,confirmed the incident.

She said the burnt vehicle and carcass of the victims have been evacuated from the scene of the accident.
