The Magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt has remanded two suspects for beheading a nine-year-old boy from Agbandele community in Emuoha Local Government Area.
The Presiding Chief Magistrate I.F Iyabo also directed the prosecutor to liaise with relevant Authorities and produce the third suspects Chibuzor Amadi on the next adjourned date.
The two suspects, Kenneth Sylvanus and Chijoike Ogbonnah who are standing trial on a three-count charge of conspiracy, murder and beheading could not take plea due to the capital charge of murder
When the matter was called, the first accused Kenneth Sylvanus informed the court that his collaborator in the murder one Chibuzor Amadi was bailed at the police station before their arraignment.
Our Correspondent reports that prosecutor also told the court that the statement of the first accused mentioned the said Chibuzor Amadi as a collaborator in the case and wondered why the police will bail the suspect.
In his ruling, the chief Magistrate I. F Iyabo remanded the two suspects and directed the prosecutor to liaise with Attorney general’s office and produce the third suspect Chibuzor Amadi on the next adjourned date 6th December 2021.
