Ikwerre Muslims Commend Governor Wike For Fighting Illegal Bunkering

The Ikwerre Muslims Association has commended the Rivers state government over the fight against illegal crude oil bunkering in the state.

The Association who spoke through the President, Alhaji Abubakar Asuru at the end of the association's general meeting in Port Harcourt called for the peaceful coexistence of Muslims in the state.

Mr .Asuru also commended the four Ikwerre speaking Local Government Area chairmen for supporting the fight against illegal bunkering and urged Rivers people to desist from it.

He called on Rivers state government as matter of urgency to role out social interventions for youths in the state in other not to indulge in other criminal activities.

Our correspondent reports that on the removal of manholes on the road, Asuru condemned the act of scavengers and supports the government to deal with anyone cut in the act.
