Rivers Deputy Governor Acknowledge God's Faithfulness




 


 

Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr.  Ipalibo  Banigo has re-echoed her belief in the efficacy of prayers.

 

Dr. Banigo re-echoed this while playing host to a delegation of Kalabari Ministers and Christian Leaders at  Government House in Port Harcourt.

 

The Deputy Governor said, “God has been faithful and He has answered our prayers. I will always be with you; I love prayers I believe prayer is what attains your destiny, it pushes into our destiny, so prayer is so important”.

 

She explained that morning devotion and a prayer session is held each morning in her office  “we do not lean on our own understanding, in everything we do, we acknowledge Him because He has been directing our path, thank you for the prayers you had for the Governor, the State, and for the Kalabari land”.

 

Dr. Banigo noted that her life has never remained the same since she gave it  to Christ in 1966, stressing that God has preserved and has always told her to keep her eyes on him at all times.

 

She acknowledged that God brought her to government for a purpose, which according to her, would be fulfilled by His Grace, adding that whenever she faces challenges she turns her face like Hezekiah and He has never failed her.

 

In his remarks, Coordinator, Kalabari Ministers,Christian Leaders and Kalabari Unity Prayer Forum, Apostle Taribo West who said prayer moves mountains, revealed the Forum mobilizes Kalabari people to prayer sessions every three months, to pray for peace, progress, and prosperity of the Kalabari people.

 

He said they had come from the nooks and crannies of the three Kalabari Local Government Areas to pay homage, respect, and pray for success of the Deputy Governor in her present and future endeavors.

 

In their goodwill messages, Dr. Emi Membere Otaji and Rev. Suku Ngiagia extolled the sterling leadership qualities of the Deputy Governor, which includes utmost diligence in carrying out all assignments given to her, humility, loyalty, and the fear of God, as well as the Ambassador of Christ.

 

Earlier Pastor Belemina Obunge, the International Youth Pastor, and Special Assistant to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God presented a Sermon drawn from 1 Thessalonians Chapter 1 verses 2 and 3.

 

Highlights of the occasion were, special prayer sessions for the Government and people of Rivers State, Praise and Worship Session as well as the presentation of gifts.

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
