Correctional Center Officials Refuses To Release Farah, Hours After Court Grant Bail

DEVELOPING STORY ON BAIL GRANTED HON. DOCTOR FARAH DAGOGO BY FEDERAL HIGH COURT, PORT HARCOURT.

Earlier today, May 23rd, 2022  a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, under Hon. Justice E. A Obile issued a Production Warrant for the Correctional Centre to produce Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo, a Rivers State Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governorship aspirant and Member Representing Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, in court.

Hon. Justice E. A Obile further ordered the Correctional Centre to release Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo on bail based on previous bail order of May 12, 2022.

Regrettably, like the bail order granted on May 12th but criminally disobeyed and thwarted by the government of Rivers State, through Governor Nyesom Wike and State Attorney-General, Zacchaeus Adangor, SAN, alongside the State Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday, another disobedience to the order of a competent court of jurisdiction is playing out.

4. This time, the Correctional Centre came up with excuse of regularising the bail conditions within one hour, akin to what the Police did on May 12th, 2022  that eventually ensured that Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo is still in detention. As at the time of writing this, it is more than four hours and the Court Order is yet to be obeyed.

5. This information is for lovers of democracy and rule of law, international communities, civil society organisations and others to be fully aware of the impunity and executive rascality being operated and encouraged in Rivers State by Governor Nyesom Wike and his minions. The fact of the matter remains that on a daily basis, Governor Wike is upping all illegalities and circumventing all known laws of the land with the unholy intent to actualize his devious machinations, through high level conspiracy, targeted at preventing Hon. Doctor Farah Dagogo from participating in the governorship race.
