Civil Rights Council Urges Police,DSS To Produce Ms Dorcas Allegedly Whisked Away

 




Authorities of the Nigeria Police and the Department of State Security Services,DSS have been called upon to release a middle aged woman who was allegedly whisked away by armed men wearing Police and DSS uniform.

Ms.Dorcas Osuoka a caterer from Ahoada West Local Government Area of the state was allegedly kidnapped from her residence in PortHarcourt on Tuesday night to an unknown destination.

President PortHarcourt Civil Rights Council Mr. Sebastian Kpalap told Newsmen that a relative of the victim Mr. Desmond Osuoka who was present when the incident happened said all attempt to ascertain the identity or destination where her sister was  taken to, proves abortive.

" As an organization committed to the defense and protection of human rights and the dignity of the human person, the civil rights council is hereby calling on the authorities of the Nigeria police ,the Rivers State Police Command, the Department of State Security Services,DSS;to kindly release Ms Osuoka within the next 24 hours or arraign her before a court of competent jurisdiction,if she is suspected to have committed any crime", he stressed. 


Mr. Kpalap expressed displeasure on the continuous denial by police and DSS of not having Ms. Osuoka in their custody when information available to the organization indicates she was taken by them.

He urged the Commissioner of Police CP Eboka Friday to urgently secure the release of Ms. Osuoka or charge her to court if she is suspected to have committed any crime.

However, the Police and DSS are yet to comment on the matter as of the time of filing this report.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter.
