Police Recovered Corpse Of A Man Killed By 18 Year Old Teenagers,Parade Other Suspects

 






About thirty suspects has been paraded by the Rivers State Police Command.

The suspects allegedly committed various offenses ranging from kidnapping, Armed Robbery,Rape and other social vices .

Parading the suspects at the command's headquarters in PortHarcourt, Commissioner of Police CP Eboka Friday told Newsmen that the suspects were arrested at different locations in the state.

Rivers State Commissioner of Police CP Eboka Friday while reading some of the command's achievement to Journalists said a case of missing child was reported at Isiokpo division in Ikwerre local government area by one Progress Emmanuel on the 24th of May 2022 and the case transferred to CP monitoring Unit,who swung into action and rescued the child, five years old Favour Emmanuel unhurt.   

He said further investigation revealed that the child was stolen and sold to a couple in Owerri for the sum of six hundred thousand naira by her Aunty .


The commissioner of police also said operatives of Elimgbu police division arrested three armed robbers with a white Hilux car who attacked a driver of a truck loaded with bags of fertilizer.


There was also a case of attempted to procure firearms by two suspects, Precious Cosmos and Tonye Briggs who were arrested through credible information.

Speaking further,CP Friday revealed that Operatives of C4i Intelligence Unit while on a follow up case where one Mr David Onyems was kidnapped between Abia and Rivers State boundary ,arrested the main suspect 18 Year old Ubong Emmanuel who confessed to the crime, led the police to a shallow grave where the victim was buried.

He revealed further that the body of the victim has been exhumed and deposited at the mortuary awaiting autopsy.
Other suspects arrested include Kenneth Owhonda 18 years, Goodness Smart 18, Dennis Igwe 18, Ibenta Oha 18 ,Idaresit Kpene popularly called Daddy boy 20 years, Favour John 18 and Mercy Udoh 43 years.


Some of the suspects who spoke with our Correspondent confessed to the crimes while others denied knowledge of the accusations on them by the police.

However, Twenty three year old Daniel Hezekiah from Andoni Local Government Area of the state ,a sea pirate was also arrested and his victims rescued unhurt admit to the crime.


Another suspect madam Nkechi told Newsmen that she was arrested in connection to his son Ubong Emmanuel who was involved in kidnapping business unknown to her.


Items recovered from the suspects include; six firearms,eight rounds of Ammunitions, one magazine while eight kidnapped victims and a child were rescued unhurt.

Mr. Friday however warned criminals to leave the state or repent as the command will leave no stone unturn in fishing them out .

The suspects will be charged to court after investigations.
