Rivers State Police Command says it's attention has been drawn to rumour making the rounds in some electronic media, that the Commissioner of Police imposed a curfew in the State.
Police Public Relations Officer DSP Grace Iringe-Koko speaking with our Correspondent said to keep the record straight, the Commissioner of Police CP Eboka Friday at no time imposed curfew in any part of the State as he has no powers to do so.
She said the Commissioner of Police, CP Eboka Friday warned those peddling the rumour to desist forthwith as perpetrators will be made to face the wrath of the law.
DSP Iringe-Koko advised members of the public to report any one trying to create or take undue advantage of the rumour to the Police authorities for necessary disciplinary action.
