4 In Police Net In Rivers State For Car Jacking






Officers of Anti-Cultism Unit  while on normal patrol at  Teke Sogo in Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State , sighted a Ash coloured Honda Odyssey Bus without registration number plate with six occupants.


 On sighting the Police, the driver zoomed off only to abandoned the vehicle and run into nearby bush at Teke Sogo Tai.


On searching the vehicle, Four PVCs, bags of substances; suspected to be cannabis, one jack knife, one plier, machetes, face masks among others were recovered. The Command said full investigations towards identifying and apprehending the occupants of the vehicle has commenced.

In the same vein, following recent complaints of Car snatching at Sani Abacha Division, Police investigations led to the arrest of three members of a car snatching syndicate in the State. 

The suspects are namely; Gladstone Anderson who is 22, 26 year old Emmanuel Hezekiah and Chika Obiorah who is  29 Years old.


During interrogation the suspects were found to be members of a notorious syndicate that specializes in snatching cars particularly from bolt/uber drivers in and around Sani Abacha area while being armed with dangerous weapons. 

One Toyota Corolla saloon car was also recovered from them.

The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command while assuring of the commitment of the Police to ensure the safety and security of all law abiding residents in the State, reiterated that there shall be no hiding place for criminals in the State.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
