OSPAC Member Shoots Self Over Commercial Sex Worker In Rivers

 



A member of Local Vigilante group (OSPAC ) in Omoku,Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State identified as Bobo allegedly shot himself while attempting to shoot one Mr Chukwuladi Akio, a Manager of a brothel at Omoku over a commercial sex worker.


In an interview with our Correspondent, Mr  Akio narrated what transparent that led to the unfortunate incident.

"the OSPAC guy came to my hotel .He sat down with one of my girl at the door and the gun was facing the girl .I only called the girl that she should stand up from the front of the gun either you go inside your room or you people come outside .If you people have discussion you people should sit down outside and discuss which the girl did'' he explained .

Speaking further, Mr. Akio said the local vigilante Personnel wanted to start a quarrel which he ignores.

"The guy asked me if I am crazy.I told him,I only gave the girl instruction to stand up infront of your gun.Only for me to move,I did not know the OSPAC man was at my back and he carried his hand and palmed me at the back,that he was talking to a woman,I told the girl to stand up that is too much for me.He asked me, if I want to collect,I ask him Bobo what happened.Do I have problem with you before.He said he has kept quiet for me for so much".He said

 Manager of the brothel alleged that the victim who wanted to shoot him accidentally shot his legs.

"Before I know,he cocked his gun,he faced me the gun.As he faced me the gun,I have to run to his back,he turned again.I held him from back.He tried to put the gun under his leg to shoot me and he shot the gun the bullet hit his leg.I am not the one that shot him.Since I was born I do not know how to cock gun let alone to shoot somebody".He noted

However, Spokesperson OSPAC in ONELGA,Godknows Nkem did not respond to text messages sent to him by our Correspondent neither did he pick  calls as of the time of filing this report.
 
Meanwhile, Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police command SP Grace Iringe- Koko told our Correspondent that the Command is aware of the matter and Investigation ongoing.

In the meantime, Secretary Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign in Rivers State,Gladys  Oyenmwen has called on OSPAC leadership  to ensure training and re-training of their personnel on matters of Human Rights with a view to ensuring their personnel respects rights of people while carrying out their duties.
