Five Suspects Who Raped 11 Year Old Orphan Arraign In Court


 


Five Suspects who raped 11Year old Orphaned girl in Buguma headquarters of Asari Toru Local government Area of Rivers State have been arraigned in court by the Rivers State Police Command.

The suspects 23 year old Ebi Danagogo Jack, 22 year old Fubara George, 20 year old Precious Omubo Wokoma, 53 years Dennis Amaye Lugard and 32 year old Alalibo Harry were arraigned in a Magistrate Court sitting in Port Harcourt.

The suspects who includes the victim's step father, her school class teacher, a  pastor of Winners Chapel Buguma and two area boys were said to have at different times, sexually abused the minor from the age of 6 .

Chief Magistrate Menenen Poromon after listening to Counsels in the matter, directed for an amendment of the charge and adjourned the case to 6th December, 2022, for the suspects to take their plea and for bail consideration.

In an interview with our correspondent, Spokesperson FIDA Rivers State, Sophia Afoloyan, said the suspects must be brought to book as they failed in their duty to protect the little orphaned girl.

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
