Suspected Kidnappers Gunned Down By Security Operatives In Port Harcourt


 



Four suspected Kidnappers among which are aka 'Lover Boy' and '2flexy' suspected to be members of Deygbam and Sailors cult members and two other members of the  criminal gang, a vigilante personnel were reportedly gunned down in an exchange of fire in PortHarcourt on Sunday .


We gathered that security operatives  including Octopus Strike Force Police acting on credible intelligence trailed the suspected kidnappers who are believed to be on the wanted list of security agencies and double crossed them at the front of a new generation church along Abacha road,GRA phase 2, PortHarcourt..


An eyewitness who simply identified himself as Francis told our Correspondent that the hoodlums on sighting the security operatives opened fire on them and the security personnel responded and in exchange of gun battle two of the suspects were fatally wounded.


The incident, we learnt caused heavy traffic gridlock in the area as commuters and  motorists abandoned their vehicles and ran in different directions.The security operatives were said to have cordoned off the section of the road where the incident took place.


We further gathered that the Octopus Strike Force Police unit on a follow up mission went to the hideout of the criminals around Sagana axis of railway in Mile 1 Diobu were Police  neutralized other two members of the Kidnap gang in exchange of gunfire.

Meanwhile the Rivers State Police command is yet to speak on the matter as the spokesperson,SP Grace Iringe Koko promised to get back to our Correspondent when contacted but was yet to do so as of the time of filing this report.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
