Alleged Explosion At Radio Station:Police Commence Investigation

Rivers State Police Command has Commenced investigation into the explosion at Wish FM/Atlantic Television Network in Port Harcourt.

Police Public Relations Officer SP Grace Iringe-Koko in a statement explained that Information received from one Peter Anietie of 99.5 Wish FM/Atlantic Television Network reviewed how some hoodlums threw an explosive device into the generator house and transformer area, that damaged major transmitting equipment in both the radio and television stations.

According to the statement,Operatives of the Explosive Ordnance Department (EOD) have been deployed to the scene to ascertaining the veracity of the information and to unravel what exactly caused the explosion.

The PPRO assured that the perpetrators of the act will be hunt down and made to face the full wrath of the law after investigations on the cause of blast.

Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025. The court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Kingsley Briggs became confused and had to search through his record book, where he confirmed the lawyer’s presence during proceeding on Tuesday the 10th day of February, 2026.
