The Assistant Inspector General of Police,supervising election in Rivers State,AIG Kayode Egbetokun has threatened to deal decisively with criminal elements who want to disrupt the Governorship and House of Assembly election Saturday.
AIG Egbetokun in a press briefing at the Police headquarters in PortHarcourt warned that trouble makers and anyone with the intention of causing problems during the polls to steer clear or face the full wrath of the law.
He urged law abiding citizens to come out to cast their vote as the Police and other sisters agencies have made adequate deployment of personnel to ensure a hitch free election.
The Assistant Inspector General of Police stated that restrictions of movement will take effect from 12am to 6pm tomorrow as any person who flout the law will be arrested and prosecuted.
AIG Egbetokun cautioned against fake news,hate speech and other activities inimical to peace before,during and after elections.
Our Correspondent reports that five Commissioners of police have been deployed to Rivers State alongside the AIG ahead of the Election.
