Rivers State Government Hands Over Two Schools To Nigerian Navy .....as Nigerian Navy pledges continuous fight against criminal elements in the state.

 





Rivers State government has handed over two of its schools, Model Secondary School Egberu in Oyigbo Local Government Area  and Ambassador Nne Furu Kurugbo Model Secondary school,  Ebube-Eleme, in Eleme Local Government Area to the Nigerian Navy.

Performing the handing over of the schools in his office in PortHarcourt, the State Commissioner for Education Professor Chinedu Mmom said the presence of the Nigerian Navy in these locations will  strengthen the security of the host communities and also strengthen the relationship between the state government and the Nigerian Navy.

Professor Mmom said the state executive Council  graciously consented to given the two schools to the Nigerian Navy on their request for use as Nigerian Navy training collage  urging them to put it to use immediately. 


In his word " Rivers State government has enjoyed a good relationship with the Nigerian Navy and this gesture will further strengthen that Relationship".

In his response,  the Flag Officer  Commanding Eastern Naval Command,  Rear Admiral Ibraham Dewu said the Rivers State Government has given the Nigerian Navy the needed support especially in the area of security which  has enhanced their operations on the water ways.


 The Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Naval Command thanked the Governor of Rivers State Chief Nyesom  Wike  for been at the fore front of the fight against illegality in the maritime environment.

Rear Admiral Dewu also promised on behalf of the Chief of Naval staff  that the facilities will be put to good use adding that Nigerian  Navy will continue to fight against  criminal elements in the state.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, Preliminary investigations revealed that Pastor Joseph allegedly organized a 3-day program for children in his Church, purportedly for "spiritual cleaning," claiming to have been inspired by the Holy Spirit.
