The Rivers State Government says it has zero tolerance for examination malpractice.
Commissioner for Education Professor Chinedu Mmom made this known today 17th May,2023 during inspection of some Secondary schools in PortHarcourt engaging in the West Africa Examination Council WAEC examination.

According to the Commissioner, the State government has paid all WAEC fee for students both indigents and non indigents and at such any Principal caught collecting money in any form will face the wrath of law.
Professor Mmom while encouraging students to be serious with their studies, stressed that there were no short cut to success.

The Commissioner stated that he is satisfied with the conduct of the exam so far as supervisors from the ministry are sent across the Twenty Three Local Government Areas of the State for monitoring.
