Stakeholders Task INEC To Amplify Voices Of Persons-With-Disabilities , Women

 Women, Youths and People With Disability have been identified as major stakeholders in electoral process hence the need for their voices to be amplified.


This was the submission of some Media Practitioners in Port Harcourt who spoke on the need for inclusion of these special set of persons in decision making process that bothers on electoral act .


On his part, a Media Practitioner with one of the government station, Mr. Emmanuel Lene explained that laws should be made to give these special set of persons unhindered access to electoral process.


Mr. Lene argued that if these special persons are not carried along in electoral decision making, it will make this process uninterested for them to participate knowing fully that they have no stack in the process.

Speaking further,another Media Practitioner Mr. Martins Giadom in his submission argued that the constitution must take recognition of these set of persons .

Mr. Giadom urged the government to create a special place for these persons in electoral process that will enable them to vote and be voted for in elections. He advised on the need to have electronic voting which will enable everything to vote easily even without coming out of their houses.


On the involvement of women, Youths and People With Disability in electoral process, Mrs. Ayo Odungweru a Media Practitioner explained the need for these Persons to participate in the process.

Mrs. Odungweru added that these set of persons must  join politics from the grassroot if they must be carried along in the scheme of things.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
