Police Arrest Corporal For Alleged Armed Robbery

Rivers State Police Command says it has arrested a Police Corporal Bright Oke for alleged armed robbery and car snatching.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko made the disclosure in a press briefing today,13th July 2023 in PortHarcourt .

SP Iringe-Koko disclosed that the Police officer with three of his accomplice went to snatch a Toyota Corolla at Gateway axis of AdaGeorge when they were intercepted by men of C41 intelligence unit .

She said exhibits such as single barrel gun, were recovered from the Police Officer who has now been dismissed.

The Command Image maker stated that seven suspected child traffickers were arrested, while two children aged 2 weeks old and another one aged 3 years were rescued.

The Police Officer Oke Bright explaining his involvement in the crime, said they went to rob at Ada George after snatching a vehicle ,they had accident while escaping and was intercepted by the Police and later transferred to CP monitoring unit .

Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025. The court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Kingsley Briggs became confused and had to search through his record book, where he confirmed the lawyer’s presence during proceeding on Tuesday the 10th day of February, 2026.
