Rivers State Government Declare 2-Baba Wanted For Alleged Killing Of Ahoada DPO

The Rivers State Government has declared the prime suspect involved in the killing of SP Bako Angbashim wanted, the suspect Gift David Okpara Okpolowu popularly known as 2-Baba and members of his gang were declared wanted by the governor of the state Sir Sim Fubara 

Governor Fubara while speaking with Newsmen in Government House Port Harcourt on Sunday 9th of September 2023 placed a bounty of one hundred million naira on the suspect's head for anyone who gives useful information that would lead to his arrest and prosecution.

​The Governor also suspend the king of Ahoada East, His Majesty Eze Cassidy Ikegbidi Eze Igbu Akoh II, for acts of complicity in ceding control of his territory to the notorious David Gift and his gang to freely operate and carry out their criminal activities.

Sir Fubara reiterated the government's commitment to guaranteed the security of all residents and assure everyone that the administration will do everything in it's power to hunt down Gift David and his gang and bring them to justice.

The Rivers State Governor console the family of SP Bako, especially the wife and children and the State’s Police Command for this irreparable loss.


​According to the governor, SP Bako was a fine, brave and dutiful police officer, who gave up his life to keep the state safe and secure. He died in active service to his nation and will be remember for his extraordinary bravery and sacrifice.

The Governor promised that he will not allow the family to suffer the pains of his sudden and irreplaceable loss alone as he prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
