SP Bako Death: Police Kills Four Of 2Baba Men In Ahoada

Four suspected members of Iceland cult group, responsible for the death of  former DPO of Ahoada East local government Area of Rivers State, SP Bako have been gunned down by the Rivers State Police Command.

The Commissioner of Police Emeka Nwonyi while briefing Newsmen at the Command's headquarters in Port Harcourt revealed that on 10th of September,2023 acting on credible intelligence that Iceland cultists led by David Okpara popularly known as 2Baba and his gang who  murdered SP Bako were in their hideout in Odeimude community in Ahoada East  mobilized and  stormed the forest where the hoodlums were.

CP Nwonyi stated that the hoodlums  engaged operatives in fierce gun battle leading to some of the cultists sustained bullet injury, three were arrested in the process.

According to the Commissioner, four of the suspects who were fatally injured were later confirmed dead in the hospital.

In the same vein, the Commissioner also paraded seven Police Officers for alleged professional misconduct.

Parading the officers, Commissioner of police said crime and criminality knows no status,whether as a Police Officer or civilian.

CP Nwonyi stated that Investigation is ongoing and the command will not cover any erring officer.

Meanwhile,lawyer to the Social media influencer, who was allegedly extorted 50,000 naira, Mr.Peter Chukwu commended the CP for the arrest and urged him to continue with investigation and do the needful .

In a related development,CP strike force  last week Sunday,arrested two male suspects,Chibuike Irona and Michael Ibe in a black toyota camry at Igwuruta Ikwerre Local Government Area and recovered  three locally made pistols.

CP Nwonyi also disclosed that operatives of the command last week Sunday arrested one  ThankGod Barine while trying to rob one Sam Saturday at kira in Tai,Local Government Area.
One locally made gun was recovered from the suspect.

The CP noted that a suspected cultist,one Siga was arrested on 13th September 2023 by men of Anti cultism unit when he was about to sell AK 47 riffle at B-Dere community in Gokana Local Government Area.

The police Boss also disclosed that three suspects one 'Super', George and  Isaac were arrested for murder of Progress Izuo and harvesting of his male organ  at Abua/Odual Local Government Area.

The suspects have been transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department,Port Harcourt for discrete investigation.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages.
