400 Level Student Paraded For Murder Of Lover In Rivers State

Rivers State Police Command has paraded the suspect Damian Okoligwe a level 400 petrochemical Engineering student of University of Port Harcourt  who murdered his girlfriend Justina Otuene aged twenty.


Commissioner of police CP Emeka  Nwonyi while briefing Newsmen at the command's headquarters in Port Harcourt today 26th October 2023 said yesterday ,operatives of Ozuoba Division received a complaint from a neighbour of Road 20, back of NTA where foul smell was coming out from the house of one Damian Okoligwe a fellow tenant.

According to the CP, Officers from Ozuoba Division led by the DPO rushed to the scene.

"On arrival, the door was forcefully opened, and a Ghana must-go bag containing a lifeless body was recovered, back to the station and in a search of the flee suspects and boyfriend of the decease, one Demain Okoligwe 24 year old, a petrochemical engineering 400 level student of Uniport boyfriend of the victim, occupant of the house, now the prime suspect who was traced last with the decrease was arrested for an inquiry."

The police Boss in Rivers State revealed that the lifeless body and butchered body of Justina Otuene from Agana in Andoni local government Area,a biochemistry 300-level student at Uniport, was recovered and deposited at the mortuary.

He  noted that preliminary investigation is in progress, while the case has been transferred to SCID for discreet investigation.

CP Nwonyi condoled with the family of the deceased victim, urging young ladies to be cautious and careful about persons they involve with in any form of relationship.
