Child Trafficking: Police Rescue Four children Arrest Suspects

Following a case of abduction reported to the police on September 9 2023  by One Ijeoma James  at Awalama Rumuokoro, Port Harcourt, that on the 16th of August one Promise came into their compound and stole her 4-year-old son Prosper James, all efforts to locate her child proved abortive.

Commissioner of police CP Nwonyi Emeka told Newsmen at the command's headquarters in Port Harcourt that police detective’s Special Area Division undercover swung into action by means of intelligence led policing and arrested one Ifesinachi Opara  which also led to the arrest of one Happiness Iheukwumere popularly known as Dr. Hagi, to whom he sold the child.

According to the Police Boss, further investigation also led to the recovery of three more children trafficked by Dr. Hagi from different locations of the country.

 Three from Benue State, Benedict Kpaaka one year and seven month old, 
Godgift Julius 4 year old, and one Philomina  6 year old, all rescued from different locations in Port Harcourt where they had been sold.


CP Emeka added that investigation revealed that one Angel Shimeson  25 years old, from Makurdi who is still at large, is the supplier of the children to Dr. Hagi while effort is being intensified to arrest the culprit.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Pastor Dehumanizing Children In Rivers State Cools Off In Police Net

  By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  The Rivers State Police Command has arrested pastor Ifediorah Onyeibor Joseph, aged 41,following a video showing the dehumanizing of minors circulating on social media. According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, Preliminary investigations revealed that Pastor Joseph allegedly organized a 3-day program for children in his Church, purportedly for "spiritual cleaning," claiming to have been inspired by the Holy Spirit. SP Iringe-Koko noted that upon receiving the information, Operatives from the Command through coordinated intelligence, arrested the pastor and several Church members at the scene.
