Governor Fubara Approves Rehabilitation Of Okrika Grammar School

Rivers State Governor Sir. Siminalayi Fubara has approved the total rehabilitation of Okrika Grammar School in Okrika Local Government Area of the State.

Governor Fubara started this during the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Diocese of Okrika at St.  Peter's Anglican Church, Okrika, on Saturday 18th November, 2023.

Represented by his Deputy, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu, Governor Fubara said his Administration is aware of the role  Okrika Grammar School has played not only in Okirika.  But it's impact across River State.

"That Premier College in Okrika has produced distinguished and wonderful personalities in the State; it has produced Senior Advocates of Nigeria, produced numerous Professors, Medical doctors of great repute, and across all the endeavours of life, they have made great impact and it has contributed in no little way to the development of Rivers State". Governor Fubara stressed.

The State Chief Executive, who expressed gratitude to the Church and the entire body of Christ for the fervent prayers it has continued to offer for the success of his Administration, urged them to pray for peace to continue to reign in Rivers State. 


In his Sermon, the Guest Preacher, Ven. Richard Okpara, who spoke on the theme "Celebrating the Goodness of God" drawn from Psalm 23:6, said 20 years is worth celebrating, because God has done great things for Okrika Diocese, with the fast pace of growth experienced in the last few years of its creation.


He noted that for the Church to continue to grow, they must be just, humble, given to prayers, study of the word and continue to love one another.

In his remarks the Pioneer Bishop of Okrika Diocese Rt. Rev.  Tubokosemie Abere (RTD) thanked the Rivers State Governor for this promise to rehabilitate Okrika Grammar School and prayed the Almighty God to give him the grace, the ability and the resources to redeem his pledge.

The 20th Anniversary Celebration of the Diocese of Okrika Anglican Communion which attracted dignitaries from all works of Life was hosted by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Enoch and Mrs Aikiogha Atuboyedia, Bishop Diocese of Okrika.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
