Two Die As Scavenger Snatch Gun from Wike's Security Guard

People scampered for safety as a man known as Nuhu, a popular scavenger reportedly snatched an Ak 47 riffle from  one of  the conventional security guard attached to the house of Minister of Federal Government Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike at Ada George  road Port Harcourt on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at  Chinda/Ada George.

#awajisgeorgenews gathered that the said Nuhu suspected to have taken hard drug (Colos) ran with the snatched Ak 47 riffle to Location road off Chinda way Mile 4, opposite Boropit where he began to shoot indiscriminately resulting to the killing of another man said to be a scavenger.

An eye witness speaking to #awajisgeorgenews correspondent stated that Rivers State Police Command officers who arrived the scene engaged Nuhu in a shoot out, neutralized him and retrieved the AK 47 riffle snatched from the security guide of the former governor of Rivers State.

The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed the shooting incident but said details are sketchy as at press time.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
