Gov. Fubara Wins South South Voice Newspaper Peaceful Person of the Year Award

The Rivers State based Regional Newspaper, South South Voice has declared the Rivers State governor, His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Joseph Fubara  " most Peaceful Person of the year 2023" in the South South region of Nigeria.


In a release  signed by the Publisher and Editor-in-chief of the Newspaper, Prince Mike lwezor stated that governor Fubara won the award through his peaceful and humble disposition which he brought to bear in handling the Rivers State political crisis that surfaced  later part of 2023.

South South Voice noted that despite the enormous executive power governor Fubara  has, his peaceful nature didn't allow him take advantage of it to consume his opponents even in the face of highest provocation as his opponents would have done if they were in his shoes rather he chosed peace and has continued in that peaceful direction.

The release added that governor Fubara also brought a compassionate heart to governance which showed clearly in his promotion of workers that were left out since eight years and the Christmas bonus of one hundred thousand naira to all civil servants in the State, the first of it's kind, the statement asserted.

Prince lwezor commended the state governor's love for the people of the State and his glaring desire to further develop the State, particularly her human capital capacity.

South South Voice declared that they are proud to be associated with the executive governor of the State describing him as God sent given his peaceful nature, trusting that the award will gear him to do more for the people of the State.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive.
