History was made as Cape Verde qualified to the knockout stage of the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cote D'Ivoire after beating Mozambique 3goals to none.

The underdog who was written off as one the countries to go home early shocked Africa and the world when they beat Ghana and went on to top group B after their win against Mozambique qualifying to the knockout stage, the first in the country's history. what a run!!

Meanwhile, the defending champions Senegal defeated Cameroon 3goals to one to to become the second team to qualify for the knockout stage of the African tournament.

The defending champions took their chances in a squarely contested game to beat Cameroon with Mane been in the score sheet.

On their part, Guinea kept hope alive beating The Gambia 1goal to none. The win means they have a huge chance to qualify to the knockout stage of the tournament.
