It was a joyous moment for Nigeria as they beat host Cote D'Ivoire 1-0 to remain hopeful of qualifying to the knockout stage of the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
The lone goal came from a penalty spot after Victor Osihmen was fouled and Video Assistance Referee (VAR) checked to the displeasure of Cote D'Ivoire team who wanted a win to qualify or at least a draw to remain at a very good place of qualifying. Now, their hope is in their hands as they must win Guinea Bissua for a chance to qualify to the knockout stage in the final rounds of the group games.
Meanwhile, Equatorial Guinea shattered their brother Guinea Bissua 4-2 in the 6 goals thriller. The win has seen them top group A with 5goals difference over Nigeria who are tied in same 4points with them.
On the other hand, Egypt and Ghana gave an exciting game in a 4goal thriller. They both shared points with a 2-2 draw with Egypt having a point ahead of Ghana with 2points in 2games while Ghana 1point in 2games haven lost to Namibia in their first round game who are currently topping group B with 3points.
Beautiful one
