Twenty Year Old Girl Makes History In First Andoni Marathon Race

A 20 year old girl, Awaji-Igbanam Willie has appealed to the Andoni Local Government Authorities to build a track and field team in the area.

Miss Willie made the statement during an interview with our correspondent, after emerging winner in the female category of the first ever Andoni Unity Marathon Race organized by the Local Government Council in celebrating the yuletide season.

According to her, the athletic team will expose the talents in the area.

Speaking to Newsmen, the head organizer of the Andoni Unity Marathon Race, Mr. Adasi Martins stated that the Marathon Race was put together as a way to sustain the peace enjoyed by the Andoni people.

He stated that the emerged winners in the Race will be introduced to the state team for incorporation thereby creating a niche for the Local Government Area

Mr. Martins relayed that the Andoni Unity Marathon Race will not be a one-run off but will continue.

Meanwhile, Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area,Dr Eratus Awortu   doubled the Cash Awards and made both male and female categories winners equal from One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira and One Hundred Thousand Naira respectively to Three Hundred Thousand Naira for the winners.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
