NAWOJ Urged To Focus On Performance In Leadership

NAWOJ have been called upon to imbibed the principles of motherhood which focuses on performance in carrying out their responsibilities in leadership position in Rivers State.

This was made known during the Eight Triennial Delegates Conference of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, Rivers State chapter with the theme, ''Role of professional women in peace building".

In his address, Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Mr. Joe Johnson who represented the Governor of the State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, urged the women journalists to follow the peace pathway of the State government in all their activities as an association and in carrying out their journalistic duties.

On her part, NAWOJ Zonal Vice President, South South zone, Mrs Stella Macauley, representing the National President, Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim urged the new leadership and all NAWOJians, Rivers State Chapter to imbibed patience in carrying their responsibilities towards achieving set goals.

Mrs. Macauley advised the women Journalists to be careful and watchful knowing that all eyes are on them. 

At the end of the eight Triennial Delegates Conference of NAWOJ Rivers State chapter, new leadership were inaugurated with Mrs. Susan Serekara-Nwikhana emerging as the Chairperson for her second time in office.

Father of Three Kills Wife few Days to International Women's Day Celebration In Port Harcourt

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
