Newly Sworn In NAWOJ Chairperson To Train Women On Home Safety

The newly sworn in Chairperson of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Rivers State Council Mrs. Susan Serekara-Nwikhana has promised to focus the hundred days in office towards training women on Home Safety.

Mrs. Serekara-Nwikhana made this known while speaking to Newsmen immediately after she was sworn in as the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Rivers State Chapter for her second time in office.

The Rivers State NAWOJ boss stated that the team has set out lots of programs but as a way to make the first hundred days in office, they will focus on ensuring that women are  safe in their homes.

Meanwhile, in her address during the Eight Triennial Delegates Conference in Rivers State, Mrs.Susan Serekara-Nwikhana while given account of stewardship remarked that she and her executives have been able to achieve the atmosphere of peace and brought everyone onboard unlike what was experienced before her tenure.

Mrs. Serekara-Nwikhana did not fail to appreciate key players within and outside NAWOJ Rivers State council who helped her team to achieve the atmosphere of peace witness in the Rivers State Chapter,as she called for partnership from stakeholders to assist her carryout her goals judiciously.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025. The court, presided over by Senior Magistrate Kingsley Briggs became confused and had to search through his record book, where he confirmed the lawyer’s presence during proceeding on Tuesday the 10th day of February, 2026.
