Journalists Charged To Embrace Digital Skills

Female journalists have been urged to step up in their skills in order to meet up with the trends of the global world.

 

The call was made at a one-day capacity building workshop on 'Maximising New Media Platforms' held in Port Harcourt by

Step-up for Women in Journalism Initiative.

 The team lead, Mrs. Ann Godwin stressed the need for journalists especially the females to improve themselves in skills, career and make use of any opportunity to upgrade.

Mrs. Godwin stated that it pays to be more innovative and creative in everything one does.

 

Two speakers, a broadcast journalist also an Entrepreneur, Dr. Ijeoma Tubosia, and a digital expert, Mr. Paul Chimodo, charged journalists especially veterans, to scale up their digital skills to enable them to improve their career prospects and earning potential.

The speakers stated that most challenges faced by journalists are self-inflicted as they have failed to upgrade themselves on current digital tools.

We will Not Enslave Anyone - King Nnabiget XV

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive.
