Native Doctor, Others Arrested For Cars Snatching In Rivers State

Over twenty five suspects, including a witch doctor were paraded by the Rivers State police command for car snatching.

Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu while parading the suspects at the Police headquarters in Port Harcourt, said  Chidube,Anthony and kelechi are major culprits in car snatching business.

CP Disu disclosed that Chidube trains his men on car snatching and  he is linked to all suspects arrested while Kelechi is an expert in removing car trackers .

The Rivers Police boss stated that most of the cars stolen are taken to Kano,Anambra,where they detached the vehicles and sold as scrap.

CP Disu noted that seventy nine cars have been linked to the suspects .He also revealed that most of the suspects met at correctional centre.

On their modus of operandi,CP Disu said the suspects uses  master key to snatch  vehicles and convert it to  commercial vehicles and drive out of town with passengers to beat security check.

He said the command also arrested receivers of the vehicles who comes into town with the robbers and tell them the kind of cars to be stolen.

             Vehicles Recovered 

CP Disu added that seventeen cars have been recovered so far and some returned to the owners.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
