Gunmen Kidnapped Police Orderly, Driver Of Paramount Ruler In Rivers State

Report says unknown gunmen yesterday ,Saturday 22nd June,2024 abducted a driver and Police orderly of His Royal Highness Chief Cornwell Ihunwo,Paramount Ruler of Rumu-Elechi community in Nkpolu-Orowurokwo,Port Harcourt along Eagle Island road at about 8pm.

An executive member of Diobu Vigilante and Chief Security Officer of Nkpolu-Orowurokwo Mr.Godstime Ihunwo,in an interview with Newsmen said he received a call about abduction of HRH Cornwell Ihunwo about 9pm yesterday.

"I rushed down to his house at Eagle Island where I met him.Chief Cornwell told me it is his driver and Police orderly who were abducted.

"We condemned the planned abduction of HRH Cornwell Ihunwo and call on the Police to ensure a thorough investigation into the incident". He said 

Investigation by our Correspondent indicates that King Cornwell Ihunwo is the immediate younger brother of Victor Ihunwo,former Chairman of Port Harcourt Local Government Area.

When contacted the spokesperson  Rivers State Police Command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko who confirmed the incident, added that investigations is ongoing.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive.
