Former Ahoada DPO Laid To Rest As Rivers State Government Redeems 100 Million Naira Bounty

Eleven months after SP, Bako Angbashim, the former Divisional Police Officer of Ahoada East Police division died, Rivers State Police command finally conducted a burial procession to his honour.

 

The event which took place today 27th July at the Police Officers Mess in Port Harcourt, was witnessed by the Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu and all senior officers of the command.

 


Speaking at the procession, CP. Disu stated that the late DPO was instrumental to the arresting of notorious criminals terrorizing the East West road section of ogoni axis but met his end while on active duty at the Ahoada Divisional Police Station.

 

The Rivers State Police boss further stated that the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has fulfilled the 100 million naira pledge he made on David Gift popularly known as 2baba who was the prime suspect in the death of late SP. Angbashim.


 


CP Disu while appreciating the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun for his support, also thanked Rivers State Police command officers for their resilient service in fostering peace and security in the State.

 

On his part, elder brother to late SP Angbashim, Mr. Dogo Angbashim in an interview with Newsmen appreciated the Rivers State Governor, Rivers State Police command and the Commissioner of Police for the sacrifice they made to ensure that the killers of late DPO were brought to book and his remains recovered.


 


Our Correspondent, reports that the remains of Late SP Bako Angbashim has been moved to Nassarawa State, his state of origin for burial.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory
