Gun Shots Rain In Omerelu Community Ikwerre LGA As Former Council Chairman Allegedly Invade Empowerment Program

Report says there was a disruption today, 24th, of July 2024, at a planned empowerment program by the Caretaker Committee Chairman, of Ikwerre local government area of Rivers State, Mr. Darlington Orji.

We gathered that both OSPAC Members and police allegedly came with the former council chairman of the Area, Mr. Samuel Nwanosike and shot sporadically leaving about five persons injured, destroyed canopies, chairs, with over five cars including buses belonging to the supporters of the CTC Chairman.

Report also has it that about three motorcycles were carted away by the thugs who came with about 7 Hilux vans, brandishing some horrible weapons including matchets and a type of gun some of the youths described as 'Kala'.

The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko was yet to confirm the incident as of the time of filing this report.
