Rivers State Citizens Scamper For Safety As Unknown Gunmen Kills OSPAC Member

A member of ONELGA Security Peace Advisory Committee, OSPAC; has been killed by unknown gunmen in Igwuruta Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The OSPAC member identified as Prince was shot dead on Wednesday night 10th July 2024 by suspected kidnappers.

We gathered that the OSPAC members responded to a distress call about  an incident of kidnapping in the area when they were ambushed by the unknown gunmen who opened fire on the security personnel resulting to the death of the deceased.


The incident was said to have thrown the community into panic as residents scampered  for safety.

As at press time, the corpse of the deceased has been evacuated and taken to an undisclosed mortuary.

Police Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko who confirmed the incident, noted that investigation is ongoing.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Pastor Dehumanizing Children In Rivers State Cools Off In Police Net

  By: Awajis Josiah-Chijindu  The Rivers State Police Command has arrested pastor Ifediorah Onyeibor Joseph, aged 41,following a video showing the dehumanizing of minors circulating on social media. According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, Preliminary investigations revealed that Pastor Joseph allegedly organized a 3-day program for children in his Church, purportedly for "spiritual cleaning," claiming to have been inspired by the Holy Spirit. SP Iringe-Koko noted that upon receiving the information, Operatives from the Command through coordinated intelligence, arrested the pastor and several Church members at the scene.
