Andoni Council Chairman Swear In Vice, Others

The Chairman of Andoni Local Government area, Mr. Lazarus Nteogwuile has sworn in the Vice Chairman-Elect, Mrs. Henrietta Simeon and Secretary to Council, Mr. John Ezekiel at the Council Secretariat Ngo Town.

 


The Vice Chairman Mrs. Simeon and Council Secretary, Mr. Ezekiel took their oath of office administered by the Chairman of the Unyeada Customary Court, His Worship Igoni Ijong.

 

Thereafter, the Chairman also proclaimed the dissolution of the 9th Andoni Legislative Assembly that served between June 2021 and June 2024 and proclaimed the opening session of the 10th Andoni Legislative Assembly. 

 

Shortly after their proclamation in their plenary session, the new members of the Andoni Legislative Assembly elected Mr. Israel Ataisiku of Ataba Ward 10 as its Leader, while Mr. Sylvester Awaji-otogwun of Ward 2 was elected as Deputy Leader with Mr. Theophilus Paul of Ward 6 elected as Chief Whip of the House.

 


In an interview with Newsmen, Leader of the 10th Andoni Legislative Assembly, Mr. Ataisiku Isreal expressed his readiness to work in harmony with the Mr. Lazarus Nteogwuile led executive arm to bring development to the people of Andoni and unite his colleagues.

 

The Chairman also announced the appointment of Chief Timothy Ntedeng as Chief Press Secretary, Iwor Romgbo as Press Officer to the Vice Chairman and Dappa Sunday as Senior Special Assistant on New Media. 

 

He also appointed retired SP Levi Ogolodom as Chief Security Officer and Timothy Eyoka as Senior Special Assistant on Home Affairs.

The Chairman promised to announce other appointees subsequently while also seeking the support of all political stakeholders to enable him to succeed.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
