Man Accused Of Witchcraft Stabbed In Port Harcourt

A man simply identified as Nnana in his early 30s has allegedly stabbed his neighbour, 65-year-old Monday Reuben at Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt on the neck and head region after accusing the aged man of witchcraft.

 

Radio Nigeria gathered that the said Nnana fled after allegedly committing the crime.

 

In an interview with our Correspondent, the victim, Mr Reuben Monday said "

I am caretaker of 37 Okwelle Street,Mile 2 Diobu.Nnana stab me.When I call him oboy they want to pack sand,shift one side.


"He said why did I call him,that I dont know I am a witch,that he carry me in Mind .That he will kill me and run away.


"He went to carry bottle and break, he came and stab me.He stab on the neck yesterday night.  


"This early morning he batched into my house and stabbed me on the head.


"I am from Akwa/Ibom,65 year old.

I want the Police and security to arrest him and ask him what I did.


"I have reported to Azikiwe Police Division".He added 


Mr Reuben demanded justice on the matter.

 

Mr. Reuben has been taken to an undisclosed hospital after he was issued a medical report form by the Azikiwe Police Division.

 

The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko is yet to respond to enquiry on the incident.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages.
