Police Detains Wheelbarrow Pusher Over Death Of Lover In Port Harcourt

Rivers State Police command has arrested a wheelbarrow pusher simply identified as Peter from Benue State over death of his lover identified as Mummy from Ogoni in Rivers State.

We gathered that the female lover who deals on okro at Bishop Okoye line in Mile 3 Market had visited Mr. Peter in his house at Ikwerre road opposite Bishop Okoye street,Mile 3 Diobu on Thursday night 28th,November,2024 to pass the night.

According to source, Mr. Peter suddenly raised alarm early morning Friday 29th November,2024 which attracted his neighbours who discovered that the woman has died.

We also learnt that the neighbours alerted the Police who came to the scene for on the spot assessment,arrested Peter and retrieved the corpse of the woman.

Meanwhile , spokesperson Rivers State Police Command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko who confirmed the incident, said the suspect has been arrested and investigation ongoing.

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence
