NDDC Donates Communication Equipment To Improve Community Policing In Rivers State

To improve security in the Niger Delta, the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC has provided security communication gadgets to the Rivers State Command.

The project which was initiated by the former Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu, was completed by the present commissioner, Mohammed Mustapha .

Speaking while receiving the communication gadgets CP Mohammed Mustapha represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police command, Samuel Erale  appreciated NDDC for completing the project noting that the project will help to improve the security system in the State.

On his part, speaking via zoom, former Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olatunji Disu while expressing joy for the completion of the project, assured NDDC that the equipment will be used judiciously to protect lives and properties in Rivers State.

The Managing Director, NDDC, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku stated that the reason for the project is to improve on the communication system of the Police command to add to their feat of securing lives.

Dr. Ogbuku  recognized the sacrifices paid by the police command in securing lives and properties stating that their sacrifices have seen to the reduction of crime in Rivers State.

Our correspondent reports that NDDC intends to replicate same gesture to the entire eight States in the Niger Delta region.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive.
