The out gone Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Mustapha who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police has officially handed over to the new Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olubenga Adepoju.
In his speech, AIG Mustapha while stating that he worked peaceful in Rivers State, urged officers of the command, Rivers People and the media to give the new CP all the necessary support to enable him succeed in policing of the State.
AIG Mustapha during the handing over ceremony outlined some of his achievements while policing the State to include;
Child Trafficking/ Rescue of under aged thirteen Pregnant girls.
Raid of criminal hideout and arrest of suspect.
Arrest of suspected armed robber and recovery of firearms.
Recovery of explosive devices and firearm.
Arrest of suspected kidnapper.
Raid of criminal hideout and recovery of firearms, ammunition and vehicle.
Among other achievements.
In his response, CP Adepoju thanked the out gone Rivers State Police Commissioner for living up to expectations.
Our Correspondent reports that the outgone commissioner of Police rewarded some hard working officers and decorated some Officers who were promoted.
