The rift between former Governor of Rivers State, Sir Dr. Peter Odili and the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike has taken another turn as thousands of youths staged a peaceful protest to the Ogba-Ndoni-Egbema local government council.

The youths staged the protest over the viral video on media platforms of some ONELGA stakeholders seen apologizing to the FCT Minister requesting him to forgive the Elders Statesman, Dr. Odili.

The youths who came out in their numbers comprising of the six geopolitical zones in Onelga namely, Usomini, Igburu, Egi , Omoku, Igburu and Ndoni expressed sadness and displeasure over the apology video.

Some of the protesters who spoke to our correspondent expressed that those who tendered that apology on behalf of Ndoni community to FCT Minister were impostors and their apology does not reflect the position of Onelgans.

The Onelga Chairman, Prince Isaac Umejuru addressing the protesters described sir Peter Odili as the father of all in the State.

Mr. Umejuru appealed to the youths to eschew violence and be peaceful in the fight for democracy.
