Protest Rocks ONELGA Over Viral Apology Video To Wike

...as youths give Wike, Others seven days ultimatum to apologize to Sir Peter Odili

The rift between former Governor of Rivers State, Sir Dr. Peter Odili and the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike has taken another turn as thousands of youths staged a peaceful protest to the Ogba-Ndoni-Egbema local government council.

The youths staged the protest over the viral video on media platforms of some ONELGA stakeholders seen apologizing to the FCT Minister requesting him to forgive the Elders Statesman, Dr. Odili.

The youths who came out in their numbers comprising of the six geopolitical zones in Onelga namely, Usomini, Igburu, Egi , Omoku, Igburu and Ndoni expressed sadness and displeasure over the apology video.

Some of the protesters who spoke to our correspondent expressed that those who tendered that apology on behalf of Ndoni community to FCT Minister were impostors and their apology does not reflect the position of Onelgans.

The Onelga Chairman, Prince Isaac Umejuru addressing the protesters described sir Peter Odili as the father of all in the State.

Mr. Umejuru appealed to the youths to eschew violence and be peaceful in the fight for democracy. 

Meanwhile, our correspondent reports that the protesters issued a seven day ultimatum to FCT minister and his cohorts to apologise to Dr.Peter Odili.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
