Rivers CP Vows To Bring Men Who Caused The Netherlands Expatriate's Death To Justice

The Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, has vowed to fish out the unknown gunmen who ambushed Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Rivers State Cassava Project Limited, Mr. Gibson Reuben, an expatriate from the Netherlands causing his vehicle  to lose control and crash into the river.  

CP Adepoju made the vow when he and his management team visited the scene of the incident at Aleto Eleme Bridge.


According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the incident happened on Monday, 13th. January, 2025, at about 2030hrs. 

The statement noted that the Mobile Police personnel who accompanied Mr. Reuben managed to escape, but  he and the Hilux Van were submerged in the water. 

SP Iringe-Koko stated that search party led by the Command's Marine Unit were sent  to rescue the expatriate who is also the driver of the Hilux van. The search party's efforts resulted in the recovery of the lifeless body of the expatriate Mr Gibson Reuben and the White colour Toyota Hilux Van. 

 The CP condemned the attack and ordered a full scale investigation with immediate arrest of the perpetrators, vowing to bring them to justice.
