President Tinubu Declares State of Emergency In Rivers State, Suspend Governor Fubara And Assembly Members

President Bola Tinubu has declared a state of emergency in Rivers State, suspending Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy, Ngozi Odu, members of the House of assembly as well as state executive cabinet for the period of six months.

The state has been in political crisis following the battle for the control of power between the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike and Governor Fubara.
