Rivers Sole Administrator Assures Tangible Development In Andoni

Rivers State Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral  Ibok-Ete Ibas, has assured Andoni stakeholders of tangible development, promising to address oil companies' failure to provide locals with adequate job opportunities.

Vice Admiral Ibas who gave the assurance at a town hall meeting held at the Local Government headquarters Ngo town yesterday,10th May, 2025, stated that the meeting is aimed at discussing pressing issues affecting the community, with a focus on welfare and security.

Represented by the State Commissioner of  Police, Olugbenga Adepoju emphasized the need for collaboration between communities, security agencies, and the local government Administrator to achieve synergy and prioritize key issues.

In his speech, the Andoni Sole Administrator, Surveyor Atajit Francis, welcomed the Service Chiefs and other guests, highlighting the importance of collective action in addressing community challenges.

Mr. Francis lamented Andoni's neglect and marginalization despite its significant contributions to Nigeria's economy as a major oil-producing area.


The ANOLGA Sole Administrator lauded Vice Admiral Ibas for initiating the Interactive programme with stakeholders which according to him will "enhance governance and promote peace, security, and progress in Andoni and other LGA’S of the State.

On his part, Dr. Benson Egweren, Paramount Ruler of Ataba kingdom,  called on the Federal government to establish an Area Command in Andoni with headquarters in Ngo and financial support for internal security outfits.

The event which had in attendance, Service Chiefs, Permanent Secretaries and other stakeholders of Andoni climaxed with an inspection of the Ngo General Hospital and Government Secondary School Ngo by the Rivers State Commissioner of Police and members of his entourage.

We will Not Enslave Anyone - King Nnabiget XV

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. SP Koko said the missing girl left home on Monday, September 8th,2025. All efforts made to trace her whereabout proved abortive.
