Rivers State Civil Liberties Organization Elects New Executives

The Rivers State Civil Liberties Organization (CLO),has on Friday, May 9, 2025,conducted its internal elections, ushering in a new set of executives to steer the affairs of the organization in the state.

The newly elected officers are:

Comrade Sunny Dada – Chairman

Comrade Sunny Johnson – Vice Chairman

Comrade (Dr) Christian Onyegule – Secretary

Comrade Samuel Robinson – Treasurer

Comrade Sammy Eke – Ex-Officio

The election, which took place in Port Harcourt, was conducted in a peaceful and democratic atmosphere, reflecting CLO’s continued commitment to internal democracy, transparency, and strong leadership in the defense of human rights and civil liberties.

In his speech, the newly elected Chairman, Comrade Sunny Dada, expressed appreciation to members for their trust and pledged to work collaboratively with the team to advance the mission of the CLO in the State.

According to Comrade Dada, the Civil Liberties Organization remains dedicated to promoting human rights, social justice, and good governance, looking forward to deepening engagement with stakeholders across the state under the leadership of the new executive team.

Bille People Appeal To Governor Fubara To Prevail On Alhaji Asari Dokubo To Stop Evasion Of Territory

Rivers State Government Targets Reduction In Gender Based Violence

  By: Martha Igbiks  The Rivers State government has reaffirmed its dedication to tackling gender-based violence (GBV), aimed at reduce its prevalence between 5-10% .
