Opinion: APGA National Chairman, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa digests “The Limited Government: An Inner War We Must Conquer

Written by Nduka Anyanwu  In the realm of governance, the term "limited government" often conjures images of constitutional frameworks, legal boundaries, and the delicate balancing acts of democracy. It is widely understood that a limited government, in the context of constitutional democracies, is one that recognizes its jurisdiction and operates within the confines of laws, accountability, and ethical responsibility. Such a government is not necessarily weak; rather, it is restrained, disciplined, and conscious of its limits—an essential ingredient for justice and individual liberty. However, beyond the constitutional and legal definitions, there exists a far more insidious form of limitation—one rooted deep within the human mind. This is the realm of the mental walls that imprison not only individuals but also nations and societies. The APGA Chairman, speaks of the MENTAL WALLS OF A LIMITED GOVERNMENT, which are often invisible yet wield immense power over progress, innova...

Opinion: X-ray of Political Leaders, The Need For a Second Address

Written by  Nduka Anyanwu In any thriving democracy, the caliber of leadership directly influences the trajectory of national development. Yet, in Nigeria, the quality of our political leadership often raises concerns—questionable motives, lack of vision, and a disconnect from the people’s aspirations. It is imperative that we move beyond superficial assessments and undertake a thorough dissection of our leaders’ character, competence, and commitment. A CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF LEADERSHIP RECRUITMENT APGA National Chairman, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, advocates that Nigeria must begin to interrogate its leadership recruitment process. The current system often favors political patronage, monetary influence, or superficial popularity rather than integrity, competence, and genuine service. This flawed process results in leaders who are ill-equipped to address the nation’s complex challenges. THE NEED FOR A "SECOND ADDRESS   Ezeokenwa emphasizes that politicians must have a "second a...

APGA Laments On Limitations of Economic Growth, Proclaims it Fosters Nigeria's Prosperity

Written by Nduka Anyanwu When Nigeria’s economy stagnates or fails to meet expectations, it’s tempting to point fingers at government officials—accusing them of incompetence or inertia. However, the reality is far more complex. Many governments, including Nigeria’s, invest heavily—borrowing billions, launching infrastructural projects, and formulating visionary policies—yet the desired economic progress remains elusive. So, the pressing question is: Why do these noble efforts often fall short? The answer lies not solely in what is done but in what remains unaddressed—the invisible limitations that quietly undermine our collective pursuit of growth. These are deeper than policies or projects; they are rooted in the culture, character, perception, and unity of the Nigerian people. THE ROOTS OF GROWTH—BEYOND INFRASTRUCTURE AND INVESTMENT    It is commendable that Nigeria’s leaders prioritize infrastructure, industrialization, and technological advancement. But when core societal ...

APGA Advocates People Centered Governance As Pathway To Nigeria's Transformation

Written by Nduka Anyanwu  Abuja, Nigeria — In today’s Nigeria, we find ourselves at a crossroads—a nation grappling with the fallout of leadership driven more by self-interest than service. Across our streets and cities, leaders manipulate systems for personal gain, enriching their families while the masses bear the brunt of poverty, frustration, and disillusionment. Hope diminishes daily, and many ask: Is there a way forward? The truth is, we must look beyond the surface. The problem does not originate solely from those who hold office; it stems from a deeper source—our collective mindset. Every leader, every citizen, was once a member of the Nigerian populace—students, community members, churchgoers, and mosque attendees.  Their morals and values didn’t suddenly erode upon entering government; they were shaped over years by beliefs, experiences, and influences. Therefore, when we entrust leadership to individuals whose minds are already poisoned by greed, tribalism, o...
