OPINION - APGA National Chairman Praises INEC’s Commitment To Credible Anambra 2025 Elections

In a demonstration of collaborative resolve and democratic maturity, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), participated in a crucial stakeholders’ meeting convened by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the forthcoming Anambra Governorship Election. 


The gathering took place at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre in Awka, underscoring the significance of transparency and early preparation in Nigeria’s electoral landscape.

The meeting reflects INEC’s unwavering dedication to ensuring that the November 8, 2025, election is conducted credibly, transparently, and with the aid of cutting-edge technology. Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa commended the electoral commission for its proactive approach in engaging political parties, civil society organizations, and security agencies. 

He expressed appreciation for INEC’s efforts to foster an environment where the will of Ndi Anambra — the people of Anambra — is accurately expressed and respected.

A highlight of the meeting was the reaffirmation by INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Ojo Amupitan, of the commission’s readiness to deliver one of Nigeria’s most transparent and technologically driven elections to date.

 His reassurance bolstered confidence among stakeholders that the electoral process will uphold integrity, fairness, and inclusivity.

Speaking on behalf of APGA, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa conveyed the party’s preparedness to participate fully in the electoral process. He expressed optimism that voters in Anambra, inspired by the sterling performance and transformative leadership of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, will once again demonstrate their trust in APGA.

 “Our party remains committed to progressive, people-centered governance, and we are confident that Ndi Anambra will renew their faith in us this election cycle,” he stated.

The APGA Chairman also took the opportunity to call on all political actors and contestants to uphold the values of peace, fairness, and respect for the rule of law.

 As the election approaches, he emphasized that a peaceful and transparent process is essential for sustaining Nigeria’s democratic development and for ensuring that the voice of the people prevails.

This engagement signifies a positive step toward a credible and peaceful election in Anambra State. With INEC’s commitment and APGA’s readiness, hopes are high that the November 8 poll will reflect the true will of Ndi Anambra, paving the way for continued progress and good governance in the state.

Missing Person: Rivers State Police Command declares Miss Joy Woke Wiro

A  statement by the Spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command,SP Grace Iringe-Koko disclosed that she is 17 year old,a native of Ibaa in Emohua Local Government Area of the State,fair in complexion and about 5ft tall, speaks English and Ikwerre languages. Ghost Lawyer Defends Client in Port Harcourt Court

  A magistrate court sitting in Port Harcourt was thrown into confusion today Thursday, the 12th of March, 2026 when it noticed that a lawyer who had died since last year, 2025 December appeared before it on Tuesday the 10th of February, 2026 to conduct his matter. When the matter was called for hearing, and the lawyer was not present, the court on inquiry was informed by the litigant that his lawyer died since last year December 2025.
